Your life. Your care. Your choice!
Design Your Care is about care that fits your life, not the other way around.

My promise
Local Self-Employed Carer You Can Trust
At Design Your Care, I believe everyone should be supported to live well at home, in a way that reflects their values and preferences. My promise is to deliver reliable, respectful care that promotes independence, dignity, and comfort, while always putting the individual first whether you are an adult or young adult with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
What Makes Design Your Care Different
At Design Your Care, I provide person-centred home care that is fully tailored to individual needs, routines, and preferences. As a self-employed and independent carer, I offer one-to-one care for adults and young adults with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

My Approach
I take the time to truly understand the people I support their preferences, their history, and what matters most to them. By building meaningful, trusting relationships, care becomes less of a service and more of a partnership.
Vision
I believe a carer should feel like an extension of the family: someone you can rely on, feel comfortable with, and trust every day. I offer compassionate support that brings peace of mind to families and meaningful support to those I care for.
Testimonials
« I’ve been fortunate enough to have Shamis caring for my elderly mother over the past few months, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person. She has a big heart, which really shows in the way she cares for people. Her positive, optimistic outlook clearly lifts my mum’s spirits.
Shamis is genuinely compassionate and has gone the extra mile whenever my mum has needed it. She’s a real all-rounder – happy to help with keeping her home tidy, overseeing medication, taking Mum shopping, or simply being there for a friendly chat and a laugh.
It’s incredibly reassuring knowing my mum is in such capable and caring hands.
Thank you Shamis 🙂 »

« Professional, Experienced, Conscientious, Caring, Kind, Attentive, Thoughtful, Understanding.
All words I would use to describe Shamis in her role as a Carer.
She spent 7 months caring for my husband up till his death and became a real part of the family working with and alongside us in every part of his care. To my husband she was ‘My Shamis’ and to all of us became a friend and a great support. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her as an excellent Carer. »

« I cannot recommend Shamis highly enough. We found her during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time with my mum’s health, when we were overwhelmed and unsure how to navigate the care system. From the very beginning, she brought not only experience and professionalism, but genuine compassion and reassurance.
Shamis cares for my mum with the same dedication, patience, and kindness that I would myself. She makes her feel safe, respected, and truly listened to. Her calm and capable approach has given our whole family confidence and peace of mind.
She has also been an incredible support to me as an informal carer, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical advice when I needed it most. With her support, my mum’s recovery has progressed positively, and her overall wellbeing has significantly improved.
I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her. Any family would be fortunate to have Shamis supporting their loved one.»
